Join GFIdeas India, a community of entrepreneurs, scientists, students, and subject matter experts who are building a sustainable, secure, and thriving food system by leveraging the potential of smart proteins. To build the technology-driven ecosystem for smart proteins in India, community members are empowered to actively engage in knowledge sharing, provide peer support, and network with each other to find collaboration opportunities.
The community runs on three main pillars: the LinkedIn community, the monthly newsletter, and community events, including both online webinars and panel discussions and in-person community meetups.

Join the community
Transforming the way we produce protein is critical to building a better, more resilient future. Such a transformation is built by people like you: people who innovate, explore, and push boundaries. But you don’t have to do it alone—that’s where GFIdeas comes in.
GFIdeas India is a community for 1,300+ individuals creating or expanding access to smart protein solutions in and for India. You’re a good fit for the community if you are based in India or interested in engaging with the Indian ecosystem and meet one or all of the following criteria:
- Working for a smart protein company or in allied sectors
- Running (or planning to found) a smart protein company
- Investing (or hoping to invest) in smart protein or allied companies
- Conducting scientific research into smart protein development or enabling technologies
- Training for a career in smart proteins
- Bring a valuable skill set or perspective to the smart protein ecosystem with a demonstrable interest in supporting the community

What can you expect upon joining the community?
After you fill out the above form to join the community, we will evaluate and approve your application within a week. Please look out for a three-part email series from us that will share a step-by-step on how you can transition into a smart protein leader by leveraging the community resources listed below.

We run a LinkedIn community for members to connect with other professionals working in the sector, highlight recent developments or hiring, partnership, or collaboration requests, and stay updated about any new resources, events, or interesting news.

GFIdeas India newsletter
To keep our community members updated about the latest news and developments (across science, business, and policy) in the smart protein sector, we publish a monthly newsletter that provides a deep-dive into a key sector trend or topic, highlights upcoming events, and shares new resources and hiring opportunities. If you would like to contribute to the newsletter or update the community about new developments, please email us at india@gfi.org.

GFIdeas India hosts regular events both in person and virtually–including webinars, panel discussions, roundtables, workshops, and networking sessions–for entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and other innovators in the community.
