Arghadeep is a policy and research professional who leads the Policy department at Good Food Institute India. He works with government and civil society stakeholders to build acceptance and support for smart protein in India. He brings strategic oversight and leadership to the policy team’s work in securing public funding for smart protein research, building a conducive regulatory environment and creating pathways for bilateral and multilateral collaborations. With 7+ years of experience in leading and supporting multi-stakeholder initiatives on sustainable agriculture, food security, rural livelihoods, and governance, he brings a deep understanding of the complex realities that shape policymaking in India. Arghadeep has a undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta and has a Master’s in Development and Public Policy from the Azim Premji University.
