Dr. Padma leads the charge to transform the Indian plant-based alternative protein landscape through strategic research initiatives. With a doctoral degree in food technology, she identifies critical technological opportunities and effectively communicates R&D priorities to scientists and the Government of India’s scientific bodies. With her expertise in the disciplines of soft matter in foods, food waste valorisation, and food ingredient encapsulation, Padma contributes towards creating innovative research proposals and open-access resources related to plant-based alternative proteins.
